Médoc Wine Tasting and Couchsurfers, Bordeaux, France

[nggallery id=35 template=”caption”]
For each day of the week, Bordeaux tourist office organizes a wine tasting tour to a different part of its wine production regions. Since it was too late for a tour on the same day, I booked myself a full day tour to Médoc for the next day. This is a rather pricey tour but it also includes a three-course-meal accompanied with appropriate wines. Most of people on this tour were older tourists. There were only 3 other people who are my age, a British chef-to-be who is currently studying wines, a model-looking Russian girl studying in England, and a handsome French American who’s visiting his grandmother in France, so naturally we hangout together in one day (except the French American – he had to stay with his grandmother). At the end of the day, I was invited by the British to join his couchsurfing host’s party. Since I had nothing to do that night and I’ve always wanted to check out the couchsurfers, so I took up his invite and had a blast with them. Although I had a couchsurfing account for ages (I was even a host for a while but no one really came to my apartment) but I never thought it was anything real, now I’m starting to think about taking it more seriously….
