Munich, Germany

I always heard good things about Munich from my father, whom had stayed there for a year and half working on a contract when I was little.  I remember saying good bye to dad as he was dragged away on a train bound for Germany.  When he came back he brought tons of photos from this world.  Perhaps it was then I was inspired to travel, but nevertheless, Munich was always one of the places that I wanted to visit.

Having had a terrific impression with couchsurfing in Zurich, I had very little difficulty finding a couch in Munich.  This time I’m actually staying at another actuary’s place.  He lived outside the city, reachable by subway.  We had a good talk about our jobs and exams, and he suggested me quite a few good places to visit.  After his work, he gave me a tour around down-town.  Moving from another country himself a year ago, he grew fond of joining free tours on his free time.  Now he’s pretty good at giving tours to his couchsurfing guests as well 🙂
