We have to take one of those scenic trolleys to the Panda base
Though small, everything is made out of bamboos in this trolley
We were dropped off here, where is the Panda base? Where there is a bamboo bush somewhere right across the street, that must be it.
Yap, it is the panda base.
The panda base is actually centered around a man-made lake.
Hello Panda Base.
and the entire base was covered by bamboos
Going to the “Panda Mansion” in Chinese or “Enclosure” as in English
After some walk I found these people peaking into a building.
Though it was locked, you could still see to giant pandas inside
Playing on a table.
After mating, the male got tired, rolled himself off the log and slept
I found three little cubs eating just like three little pigs
Next up, the breeding room
Next I bumped into an area that serves red pandas…
The red pandas are “panda” because it’s the same family as the giant panda and it also eats bamboos
Something in the thicket
another red panda
Someone was feeding the fish.
and the fish fought one and other for the food.
This building houses a pair of panda that is sponsored by a company
One of the pandas
Next up, the panda museum in the base.
First giant panda raised in captivity in China back in 1953.
Next stop, Green Ram Temple, one of the best Daoist temples in modern history.
A stone inscription
People walking around the gazebo three times clockwise
Original ancient inscription
The court yard from the top
a Dao monk gave out Dao life advices while he smoked cigarettes
Old Chinese believe: close your eyes, walk from here till you touch the character, it will bring you luck.
Going to another section of the temple.
Where residents from around the area drank tea and chatted the afternoon away.
Murals about Chinese allegories.
a grand plaza with Yin and Yan flooring.
On the other side is this temple with two gates.
and beautiful murals.
Found a guide working at the temple and followed her.
Where she told us this is where a lot of Daoist ceremony took place
Following the guide and each other, walk through the symbol accordingly
Apparently by walking through the symbol, it represents the cycle of life.
