Reserva Nacional Eduardo Avaroa Part I, Bolivia

From San Pedro de Atacama, we wanted a three-four day tour to the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia.  Though it will only cost half of the price to see Uyuni if we book in Bolivia than if we book here in Chile, the bus ticket going to Bolivia is pretty expensive.  So we decided to start our tour from San Pedro de Atacama going up north to the Salar in Bolivia.

We were picked up by our Bolivian driver in his Luxus jeep.  Due to the rain and bad road conditions, he has been driving for the past 12 hours overnight to the border to fetch us.  I don’t know how could he figure out his way in a wild plain with only tracks going to different directions in a zero-visibility rainy night, and how could he stay awake and smiling at us.
