My cousin is here, to celebrate her arrival, I brought her to one of my favorite restaurants in town – Element Fresh, located in the famous Sanlitun shopping center in the embassy district.
Of course, I had to show her my huge earmuffs that I just bought a week ago.
Absolutely LOVED them – first ever in my life too… No, I haven’t tried them on before I struck a quick deal with the vendor, so I had no idea they were just HUGE….
Our foods are here, perfectly served as it always had been. The fish was definitely my cousin’s favorite.
Big Christmas tree in the center of the outdoor shopping center.
The embassy district was decorated in Christmas lights for the season.
Despite it was a Saturday, I had a meeting the next day. After the meeting, the cousin and I visited U-Town Shopping Center right across the street. Ever since I started working for this company, I’ve always wanted to visit this shopping center but yet had the time.
Our hot pot lunner at one of the most popular chains in town.
and sauce bowl.
Passing a piano and guzheng shop, found this guy teaching his baby piano.
After a few minutes, they went for the guzheng.
The shopping center.
Went in Häagen-Dazs for afternoon ice cream.
Trying to squeeze a lemon while it was in the glass.
Murals in the shopping center.
I suppose this is a girl horse….
The weird tree in front of the shopping center for the holidays season.
My cousin’s company, Sinopec, has headquarter pinned not far from my workplace.
We were still too hungry after the ice creams, so we decided to order some meat buns in the snacks district.
And lamb soup.
I finally decided to build my own do-it-yourself air purifier – by putting a filter right in front of a fan. A lot of expats resorted to this method instead of falling dizzy from hundreds of purifier brands. We’ll see how will this work for me.
